Welcome to the Weekly Digest
We are currently taking a two-week break from our Psalms series for our Better Together mini-series. The Psalms reading plan information and memory verse are included here so you can stay on track for when we return to the Psalms series on Sunday, October 17th.
Reading Plan September 26th-October 16th
Psalms 26-30. Read and reflect on Psalm 27 in preparation for Sunday, October 17th’s teaching.
Scripture Memorization
Scripture memorization is an important discipline to introduce to our lives as a way to actively hide God’s word in our heart. It allows us to not only internalize the text, but to share that truth with others more readily.
Memory Verses for October: Psalm 46:10-11 ESV
“Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!”
11 The Lord of hosts is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
Journal Prompts / Discussion Questions From Today’s Teaching
1. To the best of your memory, describe your salvation moment. What made you want to accept
Christ and submit to him?
2. When in your faith journey has your desire to Pursue God been the highest? When has it been
the lowest?
3. Out of all the ways to work on our faith which one do you feel grows and challenges you the
most, and how are the other disciplines still intertwined it it?
4. What do you desire most in life? If God is the most consistent, what tends to draw your desire
away from God?
