Day Thirty-one

King Jesus, we praise you as Lord of our lives and recognize your authority over all the earth. Yet you made yourself subject to earthly powers, endured ridicule and pain, and were rejected and abandoned even by those closest to you. You suffered all these things on my behalf. Help me not to look lightly upon your suffering, but truly ponder the weight of your sacrifice.
