Walk for Water

2 Billion people around the world don’t have access to clean drinking water. Millions of women and children walk more than 3 miles per day to provide water for their families; this water is often unsafe to drink, causing sickness and even death. 

Water Mission is a Christian engineering nonprofit that builds sustainable safe water solutions for people in developing countries, refugee camps, and disaster areas experiencing water crisis. One special way that you can join their efforts is by participating in the Walk for Water event on Saturday, November 7, at Furman University. It’s free to register, and donations are encouraged.
