Advent joy is not a shallow monetary emotion of happiness but a deep trust in the incarnate Christ as redeemer and returning King to make everything right. Joy is more of an internal truth than an external experience. Joy is not determined by my circumstances but by the fact that Christ reigns sovereign over all.
